Sky Force 2025 Movie Story

In 1971, the Pakistani Air Force suddenly attacked an Indian airbase due to the conflict in Kashmir. In retaliation, the Indian Air Force captured Pakistani pilot Ahmed. After interrogation, Wing Commander K. O. was arrested. Ahuja reveals that he received a bounty for killing an Indian officer in the 1965 war.

In 1965, Ahuja and his teammates, including T. K. Vijaya, are at Adampur Air Base. Vijaya, also known as Tapi, constantly urges his seniors to break protocol, yet he is a skilled and patriotic pilot. He shares a close relationship with Ahuja, whom he considers his mentor, while Ahuja looks up to his late brother, Monu, in Vijaya. David Lawrence, Ahuja’s senior, informs him that the United States has strengthened Pakistan’s power by providing it with 12 Star Striker fighter jets. When he receives secret information about a possible attack from Pakistan, David orders Ahuja to go on leave with another officer and cross the border at his own risk. While on leave, Ahuja and Tappy discover numerous weapons and artillery on the border with Pakistan. Despite being monitored by Pakistani officers, Tappy takes photographs of the weapons.

After analyzing the photographs, Ahuja suggests that India attack before Pakistan can carry out its plan. Lawrence rejects the idea because the government will not agree to India launching its attack first due to human rights concerns. Shortly after, Pakistan attacks the Indian airbase at night, knowing that India lacks aircraft capable of night combat. They destroy the airbase, position the fighter jets, and kill Indian soldiers. In response, the Indian government decides to launch a counterattack to destroy important Pakistani airbases and their Star Striker aircraft. While preparing the strategy, Ahuja learns from a speech by the Pakistani Prime Minister that the Star Strikers are stationed in the central part of the country, at Sargodha Air Base. The mission is called “Sky Forces.”

This mission is difficult for India, as its current aircraft lack the refueling capacity to return them to Adampur after the Sargodha attack. Ahuja assembles four teams for the mission, but, on Lawrence’s orders, he keeps Tapi on standby, not as part of the four primary teams. The mission is completed, and all officers return to their bases. Upon his return, Ahuja learns that Tapi left a few minutes after his scheduled time and disappeared. The Indian government turns a blind eye before finding Tapi, labeling him a mutiny for not following orders. Meanwhile, Tapi’s wife, Geeta, urges Ahuja to find him because he had previously promised her that he would care for Tapi like a younger brother. Despite his efforts, he receives no support from the government, which tries to pin the blame for his disappearance on him.

Several years later, in the present day in 1971, Ahuja is racked with guilt for not keeping his promise to Geeta and losing another brother in the war. While all the soldiers involved in the mission received the Veer Chakra, the authorities let Tapi go despite his contribution to the mission. Broken-hearted, Ahuja removes the Veer Chakra and replaces it with Tapi’s image. After interrogating Ahmed, he comes close to locating Tapi, but receives no support from the government to facilitate the investigation.

Twenty years later, Ahuja, a retired group commander, receives a package from Ahmed containing a book about the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War. Armed with more evidence, he succeeds in reopening the case and even becomes part of the investigation team. They travel around the world interviewing numerous people, finally meeting Ahmed in Pakistan, who tells them the true story. He recalls having the best fight of his life with an unknown Indian soldier, who managed to evade American technology and survive two missile attacks. He discovers that the unknown pilot was Tapi, who had been presumed dead since the first missile was fired. However, thanks to his skill and courage, he managed to shoot down Ahmed’s plane, sacrificing himself and dying on Pakistani soil. After being presented with proof of his bravery, Tapi was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra and became the only Indian soldier to be awarded the Maha Vir Chakra posthumously.
